Netflix reported $8.5bn revenue and added 8.8m net subscribers in Q3, a 9% increase from last year. Most growth was from EMEA (3.95m users) followed by UCAN (1.75m), LATAM (1.18m) and APAC (1.88m). Nine’s Revenue, Profit, Dividend Tumble

Nine Entertainment’s earnings and profits dropped double-digits, leading to a cut in dividend. Revenue was flat at $2.69 billion and net profit fell 25%. Free-to-air television revenue saw an 11% decrease while publishing revenues dropped 3%, but Stan saw 12% growth in revenue and bigger profits. Nine expects Metro FTA channels to continue to decline in short-medium term, and will pay out an 11 cents dividend per share for the financial year.

ACMA: All Broadcasters Compliant with Australian Content Requirement

All 13 metropolitan and 62 regional licensees met the Australian content requirements for their primary and non-primary channels in 2022, reporting an average of 76%-80% Australian programs. The Broadcasting Services (Australian Content and Children’s Television) Standards 2020 (ACCTS) required all licensees to reach 250 points by broadcasting first release Australian content.
