Foxtel Media Delivers 411 Million Streaming Minutes as Sport Dominates Viewing Across Platforms

Foxtel Media has recorded over 411 million streaming minutes on BVOD over the last week of viewing, with 18 out of the top 20 spots being for sport. The AFL Hawthorn vs Collingwood match was the most viewed with 41.9 million minutes, with NRL Cowboys vs Broncos and Dolphins vs Knights also seeing high levels of viewership. BVOD figures were measured by OzTAM’s VPM services revealing audience engagement across platforms such as smartphones, tablets, connected TVs etc.

Kayo Sports to Be Measured By OzTAM

OzTAM and the Foxtel Group have announced that Kayo viewing is now reported in OzTAM’s Video Player Measurement (VPM) service. This follows the continued integration of Kayo into VPM and enhances the established measurement and reporting to Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now, delivering a comprehensive picture of the Foxtel Group’s digital streaming sporting audience. OzTAM CEO Doug Peiffer to Depart After 13 Years

After 13 years as chief executive, Doug Peiffer is set to depart from OzTAM, a television ratings provider, in July. OzTAM’s board has commenced a search for a replacement CEO. Peiffer’s departure comes just over a month after the official launch of Total TV measurement system, Virtual OZ (VOZ). Prior to OzTAM, Peiffer worked as general manager at Network Ten from 2001 to 2010, and previously held management roles at TNS and AC Nielsen.
